My Obgyn is going to strech me? what does that mean?

I have been in and outa labor for over a week now my due date isn't untill next week so we don't wanna enduce it.. just see if i can do it on my own.. if not she is going to stretch me monday. So what does that mean.. and the obvious question does that hurt.. it sounds painfull
