How come such a large percentage of the "hispanic" baseball players look "black"?

Hispanics ARE part of the White Race...and the Black race and Native Taino race. They are compose of European Spaniards, African Slaves and the native Indians who inhabited many countries like DR and PR before European settlers got there. When you see Hispanics that look black, what you are witnessing is the result of the African diaspora. Because of Slavery, there are populations of black people in many parts of the world. Being Black does not mean you're just African American. There are African- Puerto Ricans, African- Domincans, African-Cubans etc. When the European settlers arrived in these Carribean Islands, they did so without women, as a result many of them married Taino women and Black Women. Many Blacks also married Taino Women, Tainos and Africans, were both slaves to the conquistaors, and as such, subject to . All this mixing is what produced early Puerto Ricans Domincians, Cubans etc.
