Why is avoiding the sun's rays considered "healthy"???

Uhmm-er, okay, actually you're right. Humans need about 15 minutes of sun a day to produce the Vitamin D they require for strong bones and teeth in conjuction with calcium. They can get Vitamin D from a supplement, but that's not as efficient as the sun. Just don't get burned or over exposed. That's where the sun damage and skin cancer are most likely to come in.
